FAQ
- What is auto-tracking?
- Auto-tracking starts and pauses a task's timer for you, based on rules you give the task: the app, file, folder, window title, website or Slack channel you're working in.
- Auto-tracking doesn't start the timer.
- Auto-tracking needs the Accessibility permission: turn Horario on in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. Then check the task's rules. A rule matches only what it says, and a delay can hold the timer back for up to 5 minutes.
- What does Horario record?
- The app, window title, website address, file path and idle time, and nothing more. Horario never uploads that activity log, even with Cloud Sync on, and you can delete any part of it. See the privacy notice.
- Can I export my data?
- Yes. Export any report as CSV or PDF, or save a backup to any folder with File → Create Backup…
- Where does Horario keep my data?
- On your computer, plus a synced copy on our servers if you turn on Cloud Sync. On a Mac, the database and its automatic backups are in ~/Library/Application Support/io.horario.prod and the logs in ~/Library/Logs/io.horario.prod. On Windows, they are in %APPDATA%\io.horario.prod and %LOCALAPPDATA%\io.horario.prod. Horario keeps its secrets in the Mac keychain or Windows Credential Manager, under the name horario. Backups you save to another folder stay where you put them.
- When can I get Horario?
- Horario isn't publicly available yet. Leave your email on the home page and we'll write once, when it is.
